PRIVACY POLICY

We respect the right to privacy and care for data security. Personal data are treated as confidential and are subject to protection in accordance with the provisions of generally applicable law, in particular Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement such data and the repeal of Directive 95/46/WE.

If our privacy policy changes, we will inform you about it in a separate message on the website.

I. PERSONAL DATA

  1. The administrator of the entrusted personal data is the Taube Center for Jewish Life & Learning based in Warsaw at Tłomackie 3/5 St. (00–090 Warsaw) – hereinafter referred to as TC.
  2. Contact with the Personal Data Protection Inspector at TC is possible electronically at amakuch@centrumtaubego.org.pl, or by post via postal address.
  3. We collect personal data using contact forms, order forms, e-mail, or traditionally in the form of paper records.
  4. We do not collect or process data directly via the website.
  5. We use personal data:
    – to establish and shape the content of contracts concluded by TC, make changes to them and be able to terminate them;
    – to ensure the exercise of rights and obligations arising from concluded contracts, including resolving disputes, collecting fees, and solving problems;
    – to fulfill obligations imposed on TC by law, such as tax, insurance, and statistical obligations;
    – to be able to implement the statutory goals of TC, especially educational, cultural, and scientific tasks;
    – to be able to provide information about our activities, organized events, and offered products;
    – to ensure that the content on our websites is presented in an optimal manner;
  6. Personal data is stored until we achieve the purpose for which it was collected, consent to data processing is withdrawn, an application is submitted to suspend processing, transfer data or delete data.
  7. We reserve the right to store some of the collected data in the form of an e-mail address or telephone number after completing their processing in order to prevent further data processing.
  8. We process data based on:
    – consent expressed by the data subject;
    – the need to perform concluded contracts;
    – fulfillment of obligations arising from legal provisions;
    – ensuring the protection of the vital interests of the data subject;
  9. We do not sell personal data for commercial purposes. However, we may transfer data to other institutions and companies in order to perform contracts, legal provisions or statutory tasks. In particular, this applies to: carriers, courier, postal and logistics companies, mailing services (newsletters, etc.), financial and HR services, and operation and maintenance of IT systems and databases.
  10. Every data subject has the right to access their data, rectify their data, delete their data, limit the processing of their data, object to data processing, transfer their data, and withdraw consent to data processing.

    To exercise the rights, the data subject should contact the Personal Data Protection Inspector at TC.

    We have the right to collect personal data from publicly available sources and other persons and commercial sources. Data subjects will be notified separately about the possession of such data by the Administrator.

II. COOKIES

  1. All websites in the taubecenter.org internet domain use cookies. These are small text files sent by the web server and stored by the computer’s browser software. When the browser reconnects to the site, the site recognizes the type of device the user is connecting from. Parameters allow the information contained in them to be read only by the server that created them. Cookies therefore make it easier to use previously visited websites.
  2. The information collected includes the IP address, type of browser used, language, type of operating system, Internet service provider, time and date information, location and information sent to the website via the contact form.
  3. The collected data is used to monitor and check how users use our websites in order to improve the functioning of the website, ensuring more effective and trouble-free navigation. We allow tracking information about users: Google Analytics, Facebook Connect and Google Maps, Scientific and Academic Computer Network, which record user behavior on the website. The access of the above-mentioned entities to information about the user’s behavior on the website can be blocked in some browsers with appropriate settings, in others – using extensions, e.g. Ghostery. Restricting access by these entities may change the functionality of the site – some elements may no longer be visible – but the core content of the site will remain unchanged.
  4. Cookies identify the user, which allows the content of the website they use to be tailored to their needs. We use cookies to ensure the convenience of using our websites, and the collected data is used only within TC to optimize operations.
  5. We use cookies on our websites for the following purposes:
    – logging in and remembering user choices,
    – creating statistics on user behavior on the website,
    – file transfer optimization,
    – remembering the settings selected by the user and personalizing the user interface, e.g. selected language or region, font size, website appearance, etc.;
  6. The user can at any time disable or restore the option of storing cookies by changing the settings in the web browser.

    Additional personal data, such as e-mail address, are collected only in places where the user has expressly consented to it by completing the form. We retain and use the above data only for the needs necessary to perform a given function in accordance with the information on the processing of personal data.
