1, 000 Years of Jewish Life in Poland: A Timeline

In 2009 we published an authoritative timeline of the most significant events in 1,000 years of Polish Jewish history. Beginning with the arrival of Abraham ben Yaakov in the year 965, the illustrated timeline follows the rich and complex history of Polish Jewry through to the present day. In 2016, French and Hebrew language translations were made possible with the support of a grant from the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The new 2020 edition is revised, updated, and substantially expanded; it also includes a larger focus on the role of women in this history. It will be available in English, Polish, Hebrew, and German, thanks again to the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
