September 2024 was a busy time for the Taube Center as we had honour of hosting several special delegations to the 10th anniversary of the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews.
A five-day rich Museum’s program was filled with various numerous events, starting from private guided tours through the Core Exhibition and temporary exhibition, led by one and only Prof. Barbara Kirshenblatt-Gimblett and Dr. Natalia Romik; screenings, 10th Anniversary Gala, a Shabbat dinner and events for the donors all under the auspices of the Museum’s Director, Zygmunt Stepinski.
The celebration of the anniversary was intertwined with guided visits to the Okopowa Jewish Cemetery, Zabinski Villa, important meetings with the US and Israeli Ambassadors, prominent scholars and private receptions.
A visit to the Emanuel Ringelblum Jewish Historical Institute which is both a depository of the memory of the past and a living cultural center could not have been missed also due to the fact that it is a place which actively participates in the process of creating historical awareness and forming civic attitudes.
Once again, we wish the Polin Museum, צוואַנציק; Biz hundert un tsvantsik!
We look forward to welcoming future delegations and assisting them with their mission.
