Mi Dor Le Dor Europe Receives EU Support for a New Edition

Mi Dor Le Dor Europe has received EU funding for its second edition. Selected from among 787 applications, the project will bring together educators and cultural practitioners from across Europe to explore innovative approaches to transmitting Jewish heritage as a living, evolving process.

The Taube Center for Jewish Life & Learning is proud to share that Mi Dor Le Dor Europe (Heb. “from generation to generation”) has been awarded a highly competitive grant from the European Union to support the second edition of the program.

Submitted by the Taube Center and a consortium including the European Association for the Preservation and Promotion of Jewish Culture and Heritage (AEPJ), Centropa, Fondazione per i Beni Culturali Ebraici in Italia, and the Association of European Jewish Museums (AEJM), the project received an outstanding score of 91.5 out of 100. Among 787 applications submitted, only 45 programs were selected for funding.

Created in Poland in 2012, Mi Dor Le Dor has developed into an acclaimed European Jewish educational initiative, bringing together educators, cultural practitioners, museum professionals, and community leaders to explore new ways of engaging with Jewish heritage—not only as history, but as a living, evolving process.

The second edition will continue this work on a European scale. Through a two-year program consisting of three training phases, participants will exchange ideas, share best practices, and develop innovative approaches to Jewish heritage education and cultural engagement.

The new cohort will include participants from Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Moldova, Ukraine, and Poland. The program will officially begin this fall, with the first activities launching in September.

We are deeply grateful to our partners and supporters for helping make this new chapter possible and look forward to sharing updates from the program in the months ahead.
