In 2009, we published a well-researched, highly acclaimed timeline with the most significant events and personalities in the 1,000 years of Polish Jewish history. Beginning with the arrival of Ibrahim Ibn Yakub in the year 965, the illustrated timeline follows the rich and complex history of Polish Jewry through to the present.
In 2016, French and Hebrew language translations of the first edition were made possible with the support of a grant from the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland within the grant contest Public Diplomacy 2016, starting the project titled “Shared History, New Chapters” (Polish title: “Wspólna Historia, Nowe Rozdziały”).
In 2020, a substantially expanded edition was published. A subsequent grant from the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs enabled the Taube Center to publish the revised and doubled in size English edition in Polish, Hebrew, and German during the second edition of the “Shared History, New Chapters” project.
In 2022, the Taube Center published additional Spanish and French editions based on the 2020 iteration. The project includes the creation of new e-versions as well as a print run of several hundred hardcopies.

It also includes the development of an Educational Compendium for teachers, guides, and educators – based on the Timeline – which is first available in English and Polish. The compendium serves as an formidable tool assisting in retelling the Polish Jewish experience to wide auditoria around the world.

The project, under the Polish title “Wspólna historia, nowe rozdziały. Trzecia edycja – 2022” (English: “Shared History: New Chapters. Third edition 2022”), is supported by a grant of PLN 88,948 from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.
