Majses x Moadon Workshop at JCC Warsaw

In October, the Taube Center and JCC Warsaw joined forces for a special Majses x Moadon family workshop celebrating the festival of Sukkot. The program brought together families with school-aged children to reflect on the meaning of home in Jewish life and tradition — both as a physical space and as a source of belonging, continuity, and blessing.

Led by artist and calligrapher Helena Czernek and Taube Center Director Helise Lieberman, the workshop invited participants to explore what makes a Jewish home unique. Drawing inspiration from the Sukkot tradition of hospitality and togetherness, families created their own Birkat ha-Bajit (Blessing for the Home) — personalized works combining memory, family stories, and Hebrew calligraphy.

The creative energy and joyful atmosphere were supported by Moadon madrichim, Teo Grynberg and Mania Szymczak, who helped facilitate the children’s activities. The workshop concluded with a shared moment of reflection and celebration, followed by a kosher breakfast for parents and continued programming for the children as part of JCC Warsaw’s Moadon club.

This first Majses workshop of the season beautifully reflected the spirit of Sukkot — a time to gather, build, and bless the spaces we call home.
