For six years, the Jewish Culture Festival in Grodzisk Mazowiecki has been creating a remarkable platform for learning, cultural celebration, and community connection. With over 140 events organized to date — from concerts and performances to educational workshops and guided walks — the festival has become a vital part of Poland’s cultural calendar.
This year’s edition (August 21–24) is shaping up to be just as diverse and meaningful, featuring guests from Poland, Israel, and Belgium. Highlights include literary talks, academic lectures, film screenings, culinary and calligraphy workshops, language activities, and more.
In previous years, the festival has hosted artists such as:
- El Khat (Israeli trio rooted in Yemeni-Jewish musical traditions),
- Bastarda Trio (performing nigunim of the Szapiro Hasidic dynasty),
- Joanna Szumacher and Paweł Cieślak (with Yiddish-inspired works),
- and Salonico Klezmer Trio from Greece.
This year’s confirmed speakers and guests include:
- Miriam Synger
- Zofia Hartman
- Prof. Jan Hartman
- Prof. Marcin Wodziński
- Dr. Karolina Szymaniak
- Agata Passent
- Sarit Yishai-Levi [IL]
- Dr. Michael Green [IL]
- and many others.
All events remain free of charge, staying true to the festival’s mission of accessibility and community engagement.
