We recently welcomed a group of students from Northwestern University Hillel for an educational visit focused on exploring Jewish history and contemporary life in Poland.
During their stay, students engaged with a range of sites, materials, and perspectives that reflect the richness and complexity of Jewish experience in the region. Alongside moments of reflection, the program also created space for conversation, creativity, and shared experience.
Workshops and informal gatherings offered opportunities to connect more personally with the themes explored throughout the visit — from history and memory to identity and everyday life. Whether through discussion, observation, or hands-on activities, students were encouraged to engage actively and thoughtfully with what they encountered.
Programs like these highlight the importance of direct experience, dialogue, and community in shaping meaningful learning.
