Transporting more aid to Ukraine

At the end of 2022, our General Manager Jakub Łysiak made his third trip to Ukraine to deliver aid to civilians and soldiers. The need for support has become more pressing since the Russians escalated their offensive. Many people now require power generators and even candles to survive the late winter without electricity or heating.

Your support enabled us to purchase more than 600 feet of polar fleece from a factory in Lodz. Following meticulous research into the needs of the Ukrainians, we decided to bring raw materials rather than ready-made clothing. It was less expensive (which allowed us to bring more) and also granted more flexibility to local manufacturers as they could make whatever was in demand. Additionally, it generated jobs and gave the local economy a much-needed boost. As of now, almost 700 pieces of warm clothing have been sewn and handed over to the military (405 fleece sweaters, 120 hats, 120 buffs and 50 balaclavas).

We also brought 200 pairs of winter socks –  desperately needed by soldiers fighting in the trenches – and 220 pounds of paraffin for the production of candles.
