This program strengthened my Jewish values and the idea of a common heritage.

Mi Dor Le Dor Italy participant

The pilot edition of Mi Dor Le Dor Italy (Heb. from generation to generation), a professional development training program for educators working in Jewish institutions, was successfully completed by fourteen participants from across the country. The year-long course was adapted for Italy from its original Polish version, which had five iterations between 2012 and 2016.

Graduates were awarded their certificates during a field trip to Palermo, Sicily, where they presented the projects on which they were working during the program. Among them is a podcast on the Jewish history of Milan, guides to the Jewish cemeteries of Naples and Bologna, a workshop exploring wine traditions in Judaism, and a printed guide to Jewish Palermo for children.
