Watch TJHTalks #52: The Warsaw Ghetto: Resilience and Resistance

In partnership with the Warsaw Ghetto Museum, we explore the many dimensions of resilience and resistance in the Warsaw Ghetto, from everyday acts of survival to the legacy of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising and its remembrance today.

What forms did resistance take in the Warsaw Ghetto? How did individuals and communities preserve dignity, culture, and hope under unimaginable conditions? And how are these stories remembered and transmitted today?

In this episode of TJHTalks, presented in partnership with the Warsaw Ghetto Museum, leading scholars explore the many dimensions of resilience and resistance in the Warsaw Ghetto, from everyday acts of survival to organized armed struggle. The discussion examines the legacy of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, the significance of sites such as the bunker at Miła 18, and the ways in which courage, memory, and historical understanding continue to shape contemporary conversations about the Holocaust.

  • Dr. Maria Ferenc (University of Wrocław)
  • Dr. Katarzyna Person (Warsaw Ghetto Museum)
